Anthony Mackie (Perry) is the star of two new Spike Lee films, She Hate Me (Sony Pictures Classics) and Sucker Free City, which will air on Showtime in 2004.  Mackie is also part of the all-star cast of The Manchurian Candidate (directed by Jonathan Demme) with Denzel Washington, Meryl Streep and Jeffrey Wright. He is currently filming Clint Eastwood’s Rope Burns, playing a major role opposite Hilary Swank and Morgan Freeman. Mackie made his screen debut in 2002 in 8 Mile (directed by Curtis Hanson). He was featured in the 2003 Broadway revival of Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom with Whoopi Goldberg. Mackie graduated from Julliard in 2001.
